Debra Burton is a seasoned professional who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Tanase Group and the senior living industry. With a successful track record as an owner of an assisted living facility for several years and over three decades of expertise, Deb’s mission is to support business owners in the post-acute/assisted living sector. Her journey began in the early 90s when she established mid-sized assisted living facilities and a non-medical staffing agency. Recognizing the significance of maintaining high standards, Deb also served as a Vendor and Instructor with Community Care Licensing, where she shared her insights with aspiring administrators and business owners.
Deb’s career also includes senior executive leadership roles, including her work with Brookdale Senior Living, overseeing a vast region comprising 5 western states and nearly 50 communities. This extensive experience has fueled her commitment to enhancing the industry’s standards and practices.
Inspired by her grandmother’s battle with Alzheimer’s Disease, Deb’s personal connection drives her dedication to making a difference. Her entrepreneurial spirit, perhaps inherited from her grandparents who were professional dancers and studio owners, has guided her quest to improve senior care. This commitment remains steadfast as she cares for her mother, who has been diagnosed with dementia in recent years, exemplifying the cyclical nature of life’s challenges.
